2Who to ask first

DeskDox runs on a customer deployment. It may be operated by the customer or hosted, operated or supported by Zbix Technologies under contract. Account, permission and record decisions remain with the customer, while technical support may involve Zbix where it is the contracted provider.

3What to include in your message

Sending these five things in your first email usually removes an entire round trip. Without them we generally cannot reproduce what you are seeing.

  1. Your organization. The company or institution whose DeskDox workspace you use.
  2. Server address. The DeskDox server address entered in the connection flow, for example deskdox.yourcompany.com.
  3. App version. The DeskDox version shown by your device's app-information screen or app store, plus whether you installed it from Google Play or from your IT team.
  4. Device model and OS version. For example, Samsung Galaxy A54 on Android 14, or iPhone 13 on iOS 18.
  5. What happened. The screen you were on, what you expected, what happened instead, and the exact on-screen error message.

Screenshots help, as long as they do not show confidential document content. If an error message appeared on screen, quote it exactly — the wording tells us which part of the system rejected the request.

4What never to send us

Do not put secrets in an email

Email is not a secure channel, and we do not need any of the following to help you. Zbix Technologies will never ask you for them — if a message claiming to be from us does, it is not from us.

  • Passwords for your DeskDox account or for any other system.
  • One-time passcodes (OTP) or two-factor authentication codes.
  • Signing keys, keystores, certificates, API keys or recovery codes.
  • Confidential, regulated or personally sensitive documents, or screenshots that show their contents.

If you have already sent one of these to anyone, change the credential immediately and tell your organization’s IT or security team. If you sent it to us, say so in a follow-up email so we can delete it from the mailbox.

When we need to see a document to diagnose a problem, we will ask your organization to arrange it through the agreed support channel for your deployment — not by email attachment.

5Things worth checking first

  • Cannot connect to the server.Confirm the address with your IT team, and confirm that your device can reach it — many DeskDox deployments are reachable only from an internal network or over VPN. Release builds of the app require an HTTPS address.
  • Sign-in is rejected.Use the same username and password you use for the DeskDox web application. If your organization requires two-factor authentication and you have not enrolled yet, enrol in the web application first — the mobile app cannot complete enrolment.
  • QR pairing fails. Pairing codes are short-lived. Generate a fresh one in the DeskDox web app under Profile → Mobile Access, then scan it straight away.
  • No notifications. Check that notifications are allowed for DeskDox in your device settings, and that you are still signed in. If the session was revoked, the app signs itself out and stops receiving alerts.
  • The app is locked.DeskDox uses your device screen lock after a restart or after a spell in the background. If your device has no screen lock configured, set one up — the app will not unlock without it.
  • A document will not open or download. A permission message means your DeskDox server declined the request; that is an access question for your administrator, not a fault in the app.

6Reporting a security issue

If you believe you have found a security vulnerability in the DeskDox mobile app or in this website, email info@zbixtech.com with Security in the subject line. Describe what you found and how to reproduce it, and give us a reasonable opportunity to investigate before disclosing it publicly.

Please do not include working exploit credentials or customer data in the report. If your finding concerns a specific customer’s DeskDox server rather than the app itself, tell us and we will route it to the right party.
